Dave Walters has been in the construction industry for over 40 years, with all but a few based in Winston-Salem, beginning in the early 80s. He started his career in project management and ultimately to becoming the President of Fowler-Jones-Beers in the early 90s; then President of the Winston-Salem Skanska office; and then Founder, along with a few others, of New Atlantic in 2002. He served as President from inception through 2012, before transitioning to Chairman, and now to retirement. Dave’s legacy on the construction landscape is certainly significant and impressive.
At the annual Christmas party, employees and spouses took the opportunity to shake Dave’s hand and thank him for his long and dedicated service to New Atlantic and the industry. In addition, he received a special gift; it just took him several openings of fake boxes to get to the real one.
