A CPN Star Award North Carolina Winner

This project earned New Atlantic Contracting the 2026 CPN Star Award North Carolina in the Projects Under $10 Million category. Furthermore, the project was completed on time, on budget, and without interruption to the church's active ministry operations throughout construction.

About the Project

The Augsburg Lutheran Church Campus Renewal encompassed approximately 32,000 square feet of interior renovation and 1.1 acres of exterior improvements across portions of the campus originally built in 1927, 1955, and 2000. In addition, the project included full sanctuary restoration, ADA accessibility upgrades, stone facade preservation, and extensive site and landscape improvements.

The Team Behind the Work

Glenn Wise, LEED AP, Preconstruction Lead, guided early planning and cost management that made the project's success possible. Michael Hardman, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, Project Director, led overall project execution and coordination across multiple CPN member firms. Mary Key, Assistant Project Manager, and Eddie West, Project Superintendent, managed day-to-day construction activities and owner communication throughout the project.

Together, this team delivered an exceptional result for Augsburg Lutheran Church and the Winston-Salem community.
