UNC Charlotte

New Atlantic was selected as the construction-manager-at-risk, along with the architect C design, Inc., to renovate this 122,461 SF, 3-story facility and add an 8,880 SF addition on the campus of UNC Charlotte.

Constructed in 1969, the facility was in need of a major face-lift. This building provided classroom space and recreational areas for the College of Health and Human Services and Recreation Service departments as well as other disciplines.

The entire facility underwent renovations that encompassed new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, new finishes, refinishing of existing sports flooring, and an exterior restoration. A new lobby was added to the front of the building.
