The Western Piedmont Community College Regional Skilled Trades Solution Center is the result of a collaborative effort between the Design-Build team. This initiative strategically addresses the growing demand for skilled construction jobs in rural Western North Carolina. Funded by North Carolina and a $1.5 million grant from the Golden Leaf Foundation, the center serves as a central hub for trade certification. Boasting a 16,000 SF facility with cuttingedge classrooms, hands-on labs, and advanced simulators, the project aims to align training programs with industry needs.
The two-story entry, prominently featuring the WPCC logo, adds distinction to the facility. This collaborative effort not only enhances education but also acts as a recruitment tool, providing dedicated spaces for training and learning to contribute to the long-term growth of the region’s construction industry.
