Raleigh, NC: New Atlantic + SCS, An Association Partnership, is proud to celebrate the successful renovation of Broughton Hall at North Carolina State University. Originally constructed in 1969, this historic facility has been reimagined as a state-of-the-art laboratory space for the university’s chemistry department, designed to support advanced research, learning, and innovation.
The renovated space features 48 fume hoods, a new air handling unit (AHU), and a modern heat recovery system, all tailored to meet the rigorous demands of scientific exploration.
We extend our sincere congratulations to our architectural partners at Lord Aeck Sargent, including Amy Dean, PE, RA, LEED AP, and Lou Bennet, for their exceptional design leadership. Their vision and expertise were instrumental in delivering a space that blends technical precision with academic purpose.
Kudos to Glenn Wise, Lee Addo, P.E., LEED® AP, Joseph Crompton, Jordan Korzelius-Klein, Adam Callicutt, Nahun Garcia, and the entire New Atlantic + SCS, An Association Partnership team. Your dedication and craftsmanship are evident in every detail of this complex build.
We’re deeply grateful to North Carolina State University for your continued trust in New Atlantic. It’s an honor to contribute to another successful project on your campus.
A special thank you to Jake Terrel, NC State’s Project Manager, and Laura Zaytoun, NC State’s Design Project Manager, for your leadership and collaboration throughout.
This milestone project reflects the power of partnership, precision, and purpose. Thank you to everyone who helped bring Broughton Hall’s transformation to life.
