New Atlantic served as Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the construction of Lewisville Middle School, a 108,640‑square‑foot K–12 education facility located in Lewisville, North Carolina.
The project features a three‑story educational core with twin three‑story classroom wings, complemented by a one‑story Knowledge Commons, dedicated music spaces, athletic areas, and comprehensive site development across a 24‑acre campus. Site improvements included separate bus and parent entrances to support safe and efficient circulation.
New Atlantic provided extensive preconstruction services, including cost estimating, value engineering, constructability reviews, and site and soils evaluations to help manage project complexity and cost. During construction, the team coordinated more than 20 trade contractors, maintained schedule and budget control, and successfully navigated challenges such as unsuitable soils, complex life‑safety systems, and COVID‑era labor and material constraints.
The project was completed on schedule and under budget, delivering a modern, durable learning environment that supports the needs of the school and the surrounding community.
